    prof. JUDr. Jan Kuklík, DrSc.

    Vice Rector for Academic Appointments and Publishing Activities



    Graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University (Doctor of Law in 1989). From 1991 to 1992 he studied at St. Edmund Hall, Oxford.


    In the late 1990s, he was Head of the Chancellor's Office at Charles University.


    After receiving his Ph.D., he habilitated as an associate professor of Czech and Czechoslovak legal history in 1999. Subsequently, in 2005 he was awarded a professorship.


    He was first a vice-dean, then for two terms from 2014 to 2022 also dean of the Faculty of Arts of Charles University.


    Since 2026 he has served as a Vice Rector for Academic Appointments and Publishing Activities of Charles University.


    He is the author of many monographs and cited works in legal history.
